Imagine a woman walks into a house during a yard sale and never comes out again—that's the
basic premise of Hallie Ephron's new stand alone thriller entitled Never Tell A Lie.
Deciding to get rid of a lot of junk they have collected in their big Victorian, Ivy and
her husband David are holding a weekend sale. Ivy is surprised when an old classmate shows
up and after a quick trip down Memory Lane, the woman asks if she could see the inside of
their house. David agrees to show her around and that is the last time anyone ever sees the
woman.
With her husband the prime suspect in the woman's disappearance, Ivy is determined to clear
his name and discover what is going on in this bizarre situation. As she digs into the past of
their former high school classmate, Ivy discovers that there's a lot she doesn't know about not
only her one time acquaintance but also her husband.
In this psychological thriller, Ephron raises the question of how well we know those we love
and who are the closest to us. She also underscores that past deceit, betrayal and lies can not
remain hidden forever. The truth will come out and when it does there's a heavy price to pay.
