Swimsuit

by James Patterson / Maxine Paetro
Read by Christian Rummel

Swimsuit is disturbing to say the least...

It starts as story about a missing model and the parents’ search for her. However the story quickly turns into a deadly cat and mouse game between a crime reporter and a serial killer. Listeners / readers experience in detail the victim’s tragedy and how the killer draws the parents to Hawaii. Her parents meet mystery author / reporter Ben Hawkins. They accuse him of being a parasite, living off their grief for a story and a new mystery. Ben agrees in his own way, but takes further interest in the case and continues to look in to it.  And the killing continues...

The psychopath, fascinated with swimsuits, women, children and killing, spots Ben at a media blitz put on by the parents. He later forces Ben to document his life and his monstrous murders for those paying to witness it "Live." He begins with his sick childhood and goes on up to his most recent murders. He also gets deep into Ben’s life, filling him with fear. Ben wants control of his life again but the killer seems to know his every move. It quickly becomes a deadly international battle between the two...

Swimsuit kept me up all night. It was very, very difficult to get past the first disc, though. The opening is chilling and the murder scenes extremely graphic (as are the sex scenes). Once the storyline moves to Ben and the killer, the chase becomes very intense. The battle between the two seems to go on and on. Ben wants the murderer. The murderer wants to destroy Ben’s life.

Listen to this one and you will never feel safe again...
