With the addition of The Wrong Side of Dead, writer Jordan Dane has now joined the
lists of such great romantic suspense writers as Tami Hoag, Lisa Jackson and Iris Johansen. Often
her books cross the line from romance to suspense to pure gut wrenching, breath holding,
screaming in your pillow thriller.
Jessie Beckett is a bounty hunter. As a child she was kidnapped and sexually assaulted. To
put this behind her and go on she has made a promise to keep the young safe. As a bounty hunter
in Chicago Jessie has made two very special friends. Samantha Cooper is a police officer and Seth
Harper is a computer wizard. Seth has disappeared and left Samantha devastated.
When Jessie hears from Seth she is mad at him for the way he has hurt Samantha but quickly puts
that behind her when he tells her is suspected of murder and, although he has no memory of the time.
he knows he must be innocent.
In order to help Seth she must get him to trust her completely and tell her secrets of his past,
a past that he refuses to share with anyone. If Seth cannot do this both he and Jessie may end up
on The Wrong Side of Dead. I have just started reading the Jordan series in the past few
months. I love the way her characters are so real. Real to the point of having problems just like
everyone else. I also like the way the story twists and turns, never allowing me to get too far
ahead of the plot. Often times the storyline is gruesome, but hey, I like gruesome.
