Emmy Award winner Charlie McNally, investigative reporter for Boston's Channel 3 TV,and
her producer, Franklin Parrish, are currently investigating a far reaching car scam.
At the same time problems are developing at Bexter School where Josh Gelsston is a
professor. A few parents of Bexter's students are receiving threatening phone calls, one of
which results in the death of a longtime member of the staff. In spite of Josh's feelings,
Charlie undertakes to probe further into the matter.
If this isn't enough to occupy her time and mind, Charlie is confronted with a decision
which will affect her future. Her news director, Kevin O'Bannon, is leaving to take a new
position with the New York network news. He wants to take Charlie with him. Network news is
her ultimate goal, but does she want to leave Boston and her life with Josh and his daughter
Penny? Her decision isn't made any easier when she learns that her longtime friend and
director, Franklin, is joining Kevin in New York.
Drive Time is the fourth in the Charlie McNally series. It has maintained the high
quality of writing of the previous books and continued their pattern of intriguing plots. We
continue to follow Charlie's private life with the recurring cast of characters.
It doesn't seem possible but each book in this series seems to get better than the previous
one.
Hank, keep them coming!
