Fear the Worst
A Thriller

by Linwood Barclay

Auto salesman Tim Blake’s life has suddenly gone off the rails. His ex-wife has moved in with another man, so any possibility of a reconciliation is shot. Even worse, his daughter Sydney has suddenly vanished.

Not only do the girl’s friends not have a clue about what might have happened to her, but Tim discovers that the employees at the hotel where Sydney supposedly works have never heard of her.

As he tries to find his missing daughter, Tim uncovers some troubling truths about the seemingly safe and idyllic Connecticut town where he lives. More to the point, the distraught father is also being closely watched by others who desperately want to find Sydney.

At the heart of this thriller is a parent’s worst nightmare and, as Tim gets closer to the truth, this novel becomes all but impossible to set down. A gripping story with plenty of surprises. Once you start reading Fear the Worst you’ll be riveted to the page from start to finish.
