The Lion
Sequel to The Lion’s Game

by Nelson DeMille

In this sequel to The Lion’s Game (also reviewed, in audiobook format, on Myshelf), notorious Libyan terrorist Asad Khalil is back in the United States to deal with some unfinished business.

Those who read the first novel will remember that the man dubbed "The Lion" by his adversaries engaged in a cat-and-mouse game with John Corey and Kate Mayfield. The Anti-Terror Task Force special agent and his FBI counterpart chased Khalil across the country but were unable to corral him.

High on Khalil’s "to do" list is eliminating Corey and Mayfield but The Lion has other adversaries that he must deal with first. Once they realize he’s back, Corey and Mayfield create a strategy that will flush their nemesis out into the open so they can eliminate The Lion before he turns his attention to them.

Told from the key characters’ vantage points, this action packed thriller tops out at over 700 pages. For those with a craving for lengthy reads, this meaty trade paperback will eat up a lot of beach or backyard relaxation time. Fortunately, not only will this tasty literary morsel satisfy that hunger for adventure but it is so well written you’ll also savor every bit of this spellbinding story.
