Michael Cantella was 31 when his wife, Ivy Layton, vanished on their honeymoon in the Bahamas.
No trace was found of her body. He was held as a person of interest but released when there was no
evidence against him.
Now 35, he has put the past behind him and has built a very successful career as an investment
bank consultant, with a beautiful wife and a big bank account. Imagine his shock when he logs onto
his computer to check on his biggest investment account and reads "zero balance." When he tries all
his other accounts the result is the same. He becomes the leading suspect behind his bank's
(Saxon Silvers) bankruptcy. He is tracked by the FBI agents. His wife divorces him. He is determined
to clear his name, realizing that several of the emails he has received point at his supposedly dead
wife, Ivy.
Money to Burn is a very suspenseful thriller. The maneuvering by the people who run the
financial institutions are scary, making this reader fearful of what can be done. The relationship
between Michael and his father is a strong one and wonderful to behold. The plot is filled with
suspense from chapter one until the end. Highly recommended.
