Murder of a Wedding Belle
A Scumble River Mystery, #12
by Denise Swanson
Skye Denison is back and this time she’s trying to deal with her boyfriend Wally’s
marriage proposal and acting as her cousin’s maid of honor for her platinum style wedding.
Skye is asked to work with a control freak of a wedding planner who happens to be murdered
a week before the ceremony. Will Skye be able to pull off the perfect wedding in a week’s
time? Will she be able to help solve yet another of the murders that she seems to get herself
involved with? Will she ever give Wally an answer?
Skye’s character is great; simple with lots of great, quirky characteristics. Many readers
will be able to relate to Skye’s character and the drama that she is faced with over the
summer break. Murder of a Wedding Belle seems to be a little off only because it does
not take place in Skye’s school district like the previous novels in the series do, but it
still has all the fantastic minor characters that readers have come to expect and remember.
The mystery is well developed and unpredictable. There are enough suspects and interesting
plot twists. |
