Charles Giles' life falls apart when he is set up by a colleague who doesn't exist. He is fired from his company when an audit reveals he was using the company computer to access pornographic web sites. Former colleagues start getting murdered. Suspicions point to him. The police find him "a person of interest". He fears that he is losing his mind and turns to his brother, Joe, who suffers from schizophrenia, and Joe's therapist, Rachel Evans. Eventually, Charles realizes that what is happening isn't going on in his own head and he becomes determined to find the truth. But the truth, when he unearths it, is mind boggling.

This is a well-constructed psychological thriller. It is well characterized. It is suspenseful filled with shocks and twists and turns with an unexpected ending.
