David Leiter's near suicide in the beginning gets this story off to a rousing start, though I was confused as to the reason he contemplated taking his own life. He didn't really seem to have a depressed, suicidal mind-set. But then his adventures in the fantastic rich man's paradise of Dubai, as drone military aircraft unaccountably crash into some of the skyscrapers, really ramp up the action and the interest level.

If you are new to e-books, and haven't read anything by Jonathan Lowe, this is a great place to start. This story has everything....from the paradise that is Dubai to the Arizona desert. There is grief, infidelity, kidnapping, a greedy televangelist, a possible murder, and a profound meeting between two people that changes their lives....and certainly gave me things to think about.

The philosophy in this story is some heady stuff, written in a style that really keeps you glued to the pages. The Miraculous Plot of Leiter and Lott is not at all what I expected. The compelling, deeply conflicted characters, fast action, and a plot unlike any other make a very entertaining story.
