Jessica has gone to the attic and pulled out her old ice skates. After all these years she has decided to try skating again. The local ice rink has been remodeled, people are skating again, and new faces are showing up. That includes one of Russia’s top male skaters. He left Russia to come to the USA to pair skate with a new partner. Everything seems to be going great until the prized skater ends up dead at the rink.

Jessica is back in Cabot Cove with her usual crime solving buddies. Seth and the rest of the gang work together with Jessica to solve the mystery at the ice rink. If you’re a big fan of the TV show, then you’ll love the books. Skating on Thin Ice is full of all the usual humor and mystery that we all fell in love with on television. You can’t go wrong with a J. B. Fletcher mystery. Besides, who can pass up finding out how she fares on the ice after so many years of not skating? Be prepared to not put down the book until you’re at the end. I loved it. I can’t wait to read more.
