Piper Donovan and her parents have gone to Florida for the wedding of Piper’s cousin Kathy. This should be a joyous time for everyone. However, Kathy is upset because she hasn’t been able to get in touch with her bridesmaid Shelley for three days. Weird things have been happening at Whispering Sands Inn too. This is where Kathy and Shelley work and where Piper and her family are staying.

Everyone that Piper meets has a connection to the missing person. Several dated her, one was caught red –handed with stolen merchandise, one employs her and one knows exactly what happened to Shelley. That person is too afraid to say anything for fear of something happening to a family member. And poor 87 year old Roz Goluback – what she saw could get her killed! That is… .. if anyone believed her.

Things to ponder: Who did Shelly meet with? Who is behind the thefts at Whispering Sands Inn? What book is being discussed at Roz’s book club? Can Piper figure out who the killer is before becoming the next victim?

I love this series and always look forward to spending time with Piper. This is a story with so many possible murderers that I didn’t really try to figure out whodunit. I love the twists the story took. Also being on location in Florida and away from the cold weather in New Jersey made the story even more fun. Also included is a yummy recipe for Key Lime Pie. So if you like your mystery with a tropical flavor, then Footprints in the Sand is the book for you.

Reviewer's Note: Prior books in the series are To Have and To Kill and The Look of Love
