Nick Fox loves his job. In fact, he loves it a little too much. Pulling heists and cons on high profile people used to be solely for monetary gain, now he does it for the thrill of the chase. For Fox, there's nothing more thrilling than being chased by a beautiful woman, namely FBI agent Kate O'Hare.

Kate O'Hare has a problem with her job: Nick Fox. He's been her main target for years and every time she's gotten close, he's managed to slip away. To make things worse, the blonde-haired Casanova has her thinking about him in more than just a professional fashion.

When it comes time for their final battle, Kate and Nick both end up in a situation neither one would've ever expected - working as a team to take down criminals that are too high-profile to be touched by public investigative agencies.

Now Nick and Kate have to play nice and rely on each other's skills to pull one of the biggest cons ever imagined - one that will never be known and could get them and everyone involved killed.

When I saw Evanovich had a new series out, I knew I had to check it out. I am very glad I did. She and Lee Goldberg have created a team of characters that, while outside the norm (at least for Evanovich), are easily the most fun, complex, and easily memorable. I can't wait for them to continue this series. Scott Brick does an incredible job making each character easily recognizable and bringing out the humor and attitude that saturates the crisp, tart one-liners and epic dialogue battles between Fox and O'Hare. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a little steam in their adventures.
