Maggie
Hope has finally gotten her wish - to be dropped behind enemy
lines in Germany and help the resistance. She is now a member
of Winston Churchill's black ops division: SOE - Special Operations
Executive. Her assignment is to last only four days, but knowing
Maggie I am sure there will be reasons to keep her in Germany
a little longer.
A fancy
dinner at the home of a high ranking Nazi officer will put
Maggie into contact with someone that she did not know existed.
She is also hobnobbing with the likes of Hermann Goring and
Joseph Goebbels. It is also where she is asked to interview
to become a secretary for Goring.
Things
to Ponder: Who is the mystery patient that Nurse Elise Hess
has been caring for at the hospital? Does Maggie ever find
out the real reason Churchill sent her on this very dangerous
assignment? Will Maggie manage to plant the listening device
in the home of the high ranking Nazi?
Hold
on tight because you are in for the ride of your life. The
pace of this book never slows down. With every book in the
Maggie Hope mystery series, Ms. MacNeal's writing improves
like a fine wine. I love how the author juggled all the storylines
which kept you reading to find out what would happen next.
Who knew that you could really knit coded messages? I loved
this book and hope that Susan Elia MacNeal is busy researching
and plotting the next Maggie Hope Mystery. Please don't make
me wait too long for my next fix. So, if you like your mystery
mixed with a dash of espionage, then you should be reading
His Majesty's Hope.
