Glen High School’s show choir team, Music in Motion, and
their coach, Paige Marshall, are headed to Nashville to compete
in the National Show Choir Championship. The team has a very
good chance of winning. Being the new team on the block, they
are given the smallest rehearsal room. All the costumes and
band instruments are living in Paige’s hotel room until
they can be loaded into the rehearsal room. This will be done
as soon as the stage left loading door can be fixed.
After Paige and
her Aunt Millie go shopping to pick up a few things to spruce
up the band uniforms, she remembers that someone wants to
meet her at 9:00 PM at the performing arts center. Since she
is with Millie, Paige figures it is safe to go. When no one
shows, the ladies decide to leave and they are almost hit
by a speeding car. They go to where the car came from and
see a pair of red cowboy boots attached to a dead body. Paige
had better be careful solving this murder, or she could end
up losing her perfect pitch.
Things to ponder:
Why does LuAnn have it in for Paige? Could Chessie be involved
with sabotaging the other teams? Who called Paige to meet
at the performing arts center? Will Paige make the flight
to Chicago?

Charbonneau has done it again. A Chorus Lineup is
a great addition to the Glee Club Mystery series. While they
are on a road trip this time, our favorite characters have
come along for the ride. I found it hard to put this book
down – I had to find out whodunit. The author has created
another intriguing plot that included plenty of suspects and
lots of questions that needed to be answered. This book left
me wishing for encores. So if you like your mystery with a
little harmonizing, then you should be reading A Chorus
Lineup.
