When
a bungee jump off the Golden Gate Bridge goes horribly wrong,
on a reality show, a SFPD cop, Paul Sanders, is added to replace
the dead contestant. This is really bad news for the lady
contestant on the show, Georgie Thornton. It turns out Paul
left Georgie at the altar. Georgie is only on the show, Love
or Money, because this out of work former cop needs the money.
Georgie is going to get involved solving this crime. She had
better be careful or she could end up without a rose.
Things
to ponder: Why is Georgie no longer a cop? Why did Cheryl
pick Aaron to be the first to bungee jump? Why does Georgie
think the makeup lady looks familiar? Why does Edward have
valium handy?
This
new series starts off with a bang. It pulls you in right from
the start. I like the bachelor interviews sprinkled throughout
the book. You find out if they are there for love, or love
of money. This is one book that I read in one sitting –
I just had to find out whodunit. Cozy mystery lovers will
be thrilled to have a new series to read and enjoy. It is
well-plotted and keeps you guessing until the very end. So
if you like your mystery with a dose of reality, then you
should be reading A First Date with Death.
