The ladies
of the Summer Ridge Bridge Club of Brownsburg, IN are not
playing cards tonight. No - not these septuagenarians - these
five ladies are going skinny dipping in Alice's pool. When
these ladies turned sixty, they all made bucket lists. Now
ten years later they are finally doing the things on their
lists. Why they started with skinny dipping ---- well who
knows.
So the
ladies are all bundled in their robes and no one really wants
to get in the pool. There is a distraction - a terrible smell
that seems to be coming from the pool shed. When they open
the shed door - a body falls out. Isn't it lucky that Charlotte
has "solve a murder" on her bucket list.
Things
to ponder: Can the ladies cross off skinny dipping - since
they found a dead body? How did the body end up in Alice's
pool shed? What will the neighbors think?
I loved
the premise of the book. The story pulled me in right from
the beginning. It had a great cast of characters and I hope
we get to visit with them again soon. The story is well-plotted
and cozy mystery readers will enjoy finding a new author and
series. I can't wait to see what kind of mischief they get
up to in future books. This book turned into a page turner
of a read for me - I had to find out whodunit. I found myself
laughing out loud throughout the story. On my bucket list
- read the next book in this delightful series.
