Firefighter Donny Robertson is finding out that sometimes searching for the truth can be more dangerous that fighting fires.

Donny’s captain was killed in a blaze that everyone believed was just a terrible accident. However, as Donny searches for the truth, he learns that his quest may cost him everything: his job, his home, and his relationship. As he starts to put the pieces together, he discovers that he is in over his head. He is one man fighting corporate intrigue and murder for hire. The man who was once the hunter now becomes hunted by a skilled and merciless contract killer.

Donny comes up with a desperate plan to confront the person pulling the strings, but the plan will cost him everything he has left. It’s the only chance he has to save himself.

John Kenny has done an amazing job with his first book, The Spark. It is an exciting story that keeps you on the edge of your seat. The fact that he is a real fireman really comes out through his writing. His skill as a writer and his knowledge of all the technical components bring even more to the story. You get a great picture of the camaraderie in the firehouse and out on the job. Plus, you get a real feel for what it is like to run into a burning building. If you like mystery, suspense, drama and action, you’ll love The Spark. It has all that and much more. If this is a peek of what he can do, I can’t wait for his next book.
