As
the fourth book in the Merry Muffin Mystery Series opens we
find Merry Wynter coming home to Autumn Vale after an extended
amount of time spent overseas. As excited as she is to get
home and get her life back to normal, she finds an old foe,
Opera singer Roma Toscano, living in her castle. Not only
does Roma cause conflict with Merry, but she also alienates
herself with many of the Autumn Vale townspeople. But when
Minnie Urqhart winds up dead, Roma ends up front and center
as the suspect in the murder.
The Merry
Muffin series has been one of my favorites since I read the
first book, Bran New Death, and because of story
lines like this one, I keep coming back for more! I found
this mystery to be an intriguing one that kept me guessing
right up until the last few pages and even then I was shocked.
Since the beginning, there have been so many great characters
and they continue to develop and grow and I am so happy to
see the continuing romance that Merry is involved in!
Overall,
Much Ado About Muffin was another great addition
to this series. It was a fast read, continuing this series
into baked goodness. And don't forget to check out the yummy
muffin recipes in the back of the book, they never disappoint!
