Welcome to Love Blossom Farm in the small western town of Lovett, Minnesota, where owner Shelby McDonald not only farms, gardens and sells her homemade cheese wares to the local merchants, but also runs her blog, The Farmer’s Daughter, while trying to keep her two children and mass of pets inline. When Shelby offers to host the St. Andrews Church potluck at Love Blossom Farm, Shelby had no idea the kind of trouble she would be inviting into her home. When the recently-hired Reverend Daniel's wife, Prudence, is found murdered in Shelby's mudroom, Shelby makes a quick decision to try to help finger the culprit before her farm has to pay the price.

This is the first book in a new series, written by veteran author Peg Cochran. I enjoyed this book, because it had a fun twist to the writing style, as the character writes her blog, we see it become part of the story in every chapter. Many times Shelby "talks" directly to the reader including tips on not only gardening but also food preparation. This book was a hit in my book because of the characters and how fast I became immersed in their world. The mystery, while interesting to solve, was not, in my opinion, the core or strength of this book, however the characters were. Overall, I enjoyed No Farm, No Foul and I believe this is a promising start to a wonderful new series! Oh and don't forget to check out the yummy recipes at the end of the book, as they are sure to delight your taste buds!
