Lacy Marie Crocker creates designer
pet couture in her shop in the New Orleans’s Garden
District. Annie Lane, who is her favorite fashion designer,
has contacted Lacy to come to her home with some of her designs.
Lacy is over the moon. This could be her big opportunity at
fame and fortune!
Alas, it is not to happen, as when Lacy arrives at Annie’s
she discovers the famous designer has been murdered! To make
matters worse, Lacy gets her own fingerprints on the murder
weapon and quickly realizes she could be a suspect. Despite
this, she takes Annie’s two Siamese kittens home with
her, but they don’t stay long. All too soon, they are
kitten-napped and Annie has a second mystery on her hands.
I adore a good mystery and I love cats, so I knew this would
be a book I’d enjoy. I even went and got a copy of the
first in the series before I dove into this one. I was smitten
from the start and enjoyed every page.
New Orleans is a favorite setting of mine and Julie Chase
has drawn a picture of the region and its people and animals
that drew me right in. The mystery itself is carefully plotted,
and the characters are endearing.
I like Lacy’s friends and family, and her somewhat
confused demeanor about two potential romances. You really
don’t want to miss out on this fun new series, and I
highly recommend Cat Got Your Cash be on your spring reading
list.
There is even a good pre-order price on Amazon!
I hope Julie Cash is a fast writer because I’ll be
waiting anxiously for the third book in the Kitty Couture
Mystery series!
Reviewers Notes: Julie Chase also wrote “Cat Got Your
Diamonds” which is the first book in this series.
