What happens when a group of people is trapped in a pub in Ireland by a snowstorm, and one of them is thought to be guilty of a two decade old murder? You are about to find out when you read about Maura Donovan and her inherited pub in County Cork, Ireland.

With no electricity, they resort to story telling for entertainment, and Maura encourages Diane Caldwell, the murder suspect, to tell them her side of the story. The locals listen carefully as the tale unfolds, and when she is done, they take new information and work towards reaching a definitive conclusion. What will they decide and will it change the way things played out twenty years ago?

Wow! What a fascinating twist on the usual cozy mystery fare! I was spellbound right from the start and did not want this book to end.

The characters and atmosphere are perfectly attuned to the unofficial trial of a suspect in a heinous crime from a generation ago.

Sheila Connolly is a renowned author of several series and her writing seems to be improving consistently. I haven’t read the first books in this particular series, but you can bet your last dollar that I will now!

This is such a unique book and I highly recommend it to mystery lovers everywhere!!! Pick up a copy today- you won’t be sorry!
