Charity’s
nemesis Jody Dalton has been a thorn in Charity’s side
since she moved to the island, but even after she is charged
with murdering Cassidy Jones, and grazing Charity’s
shoulder with another bullet, Charity agrees to try to find
the real killer so Jody can be released from jail. She’s
taking on this investigation as a promise to Jody’s
ten-year-old son, Gavin who has begged her to clear his mother’s
name so she can take him to the first day of school. That’s
less than a week away!
It was interesting
to read and learn about volunteer organizations helping sea
turtles hatch and make their way into the ocean, and Charity
is even making and selling salted sea turtle chocolates at
The Chocolate box. They sound delicious!
I really enjoy
the dynamics of this series. Everything works so well together.
The setting is serene and often charming, with the juxtaposition
of turbulent relationships, and hateful murder.
Hats off to Dorothy
St. James for another mystery that is sure to satisfy cozy
mystery lovers everywhere!
