Charity Penn is finally feeling at home in Camellia Beach, South Carolina. She moved there after inheriting the Chocolate Box which is a long-time fixture in the small seaside town. Along with running the shop, and learning how to make exquisite chocolates, Charity seems to have a knack for getting involved with the dark side of town, including murders!

She's also organizing a beach music festival to bring in more tourists and give the locals entertainment. Her sister Tina has sent big-name rock star Bixby Lewis to Camellia Beach to provide a superstar attraction to the festival. Trouble comes along with Bixby and after one band's lead singer is murdered and Bixby's life is threatened, Charity makes it her mission to get to the bottom of the crimes.

This is a charming series with a unique southern feel mingled with a beach feel. The mysteries of Camellia Beach are deep, going back decades with repercussions of past evil rippling through the present day. Dorothy St. James hit on a winning combination of mystery, murder, mayhem, music, romance and of course chocolate! Charity's family is a muddle of mystery as well, and her search for her mother comes to fruition in this second book in the series.

I don't want to give too much away here, so I'll leave it that if you enjoyed the first book “Asking for Truffle” you really need to read this one to get answers to your questions about Charity, her mother, and the history of Camellia Beach relationships.

Make sure you have some chocolate on hand when you pick up this book or you'll be running out to your local chocolate shop to get a fix of the good stuff! Recipes included at the back of the book.
