Librarian
Carrie Singleton has a lot to deal with in book four of the
“Haunted Library Mystery” series. Fortunately,
she’s got the library’s resident ghost, Evelyn,
to help her, and she’s got the love and support of her
boyfriend, Dylan, and her beloved cat, Smokey Joe.
Unfortunately, her demanding mother has blown into town with
her younger husband, actor Tom Farrell. They’ve arrived
in town because a movie Tom is in is filming there. In addition
to Tom, his ex-fiancée, Ilana Reingold, has a part
in the film, which has Carrie’s mother. Linda—
now, Brianna—fuming.
Daphne Marriott has also returned to Clover Ridge and brought
her newfound psychic abilities with her. Daphne’s family
had a bad history in town ending with the murder of her father,
for which her brother, Billy, went to prison. Things don’t
go any better this time, as Daphne herself is a murder victim.
Once again, Allison Brook has written a quality cozy mystery
with just the right amount of paranormal action to give it
some extra oomph. While her characters have their own stories
being told, they are also intertwined in the way that a small
town’s peoples’ stories would be.
A psychic, a movie cast and crew, her mother in town, her
boyfriend out of town—wow. Then add murder to the mix
and Carrie is a busy woman indeed. There’s enough action
to keep readers engaged page after page. I don’t want
to give away anything more, so hurry to get your own copy
as soon as possible.
I didn’t want this book to end and I can’t wait
for the next installment!
