Leigh
Koslow, a copywriter for an agency, finds herself in a mystery that
could affect her and her cousin Cara, who is 7 months pregnant. The
corpse of the former owner of Cara's house turns up in a hammock behind
the house with a note attached to it saying, "Get out of my house."
This scares and intrigues the amateur sleuths into finding out why
someone would do that. Along with getting laid off from her company
and harassed by her mother, Leigh finds that detective work isn't
as easy as it was when they were kids, but it has its rewards.
This book is great. I love the way Ms. Claire embodies the characters into the small town life of Avalon. Leigh is a strong, well-built character and a prime example of a nineties woman. The plot is imaginative and very cute. It's well put together and definitely worth the time to read it.
