Country Priestess
By Dick Claassen

Joe Landzlodt's life has been filled with such sadness and heartache. He constantly has to help his sister Carol with her son Timmy. He's also dealing with the pain of his fiancée's sudden death. He has little memory of the day she died and has been suffering terrible headaches. At the urging of his sister and brother-in-law, Joe sets out on a much-needed vacation. He hasn't decided where he will go, until his nephew Timmy presents him with some drawings that appear to be a map.

Joe's travels take him to Quite Lake, and there he meets a beautiful woman named MeLing Guinevere Huntington. At first he sees her as a fragile woman, but her strength is revealed as the two grow to know one another. They are guided on a mission to uncover government missions and rescue her father. More important is their attraction for each other. With MeLing's help Joe unlocks his memories, and secrets are revealed. The two must work together when their lives are in jeopardy, and their love is on the line.

Dick Claassen has taken a rumor and turned it into a beautiful love story. I found the story both intriguing and touching. This is not your everyday alien story; it is even better. I have never been big on science fiction, but after this book, I've changed my mind. Readers will be delighted to find a well-plotted book loaded with adventure and emotion. I highly recommend.
