A Thousand Tomorrows

By Karen Kingsbury

Champion bull rider Cody Gunner is at the top of his profession. He has shut off the world and focused solely on his career. The only person he has allowed to stay close to him is his younger brother Carl. His distrust of people happened at the young age of eight when his father abandoned his family due to the fact he was unable to cope with the fact that his brother was born with Down's Syndrome. The rejection of the one person he loved and admired the most in life caused him to harden his heart against anyone who tried to penetrate it.

Ali Daniels' life is centered on being a horse-riding champion at the rodeo. She lives life to the fullest by taking daring risks. She lives for each moment life presents her, for the future is one that is not one that she looks forward to. The secret that she is concealing has had a dramatic impact on the way she is currently living her life. When she meets Cody Gunner, she realizes that he is another lost soul who is need of comfort. Can she risk revealing her guarded secret so both of them can have a chance at a happy life?

A Thousand Tomorrows is one of the most heart-wrenching books I have read this year. The characters are so realistic you question whether they are real or fictional. The real-life problems they are facing give you appreciation for the life you have. This story is an outstanding example of a romance that focuses on the well-being of its reader's enjoyment. Very highly recommended.
