Building Passion
by Jane Bierce
Jacqui Belpre is the breadwinner for her small family of siblings and wants to make a
success of the building company her father left the family. Brought up in the building
trade, Jacqui and her brother, Kyle, have building in the blood. Their younger sister,
Janice, isn't convinced there's not more to the world. Jacqui struggles to get her brother
Kyle to take the exams he needs to become certified and tries to get her youngest sister
involved in the business on a peripheral level at least. She has everything in her personal
life on a timetable - the same as she does for her professional life. She would never get
any buildings done if she didn't keep to a strict schedule. She doesn't allow for meeting
the Wardens.
Chris Warden is in charge of the Leisure Discovery complex, suitable playground for
the rich and famous. He's also in charge of his younger sister while his parents work out
their differences. As a much older brother he takes his charge seriously and doesn't like
to have young Kyle spending as much time with his sister as he does. Deciding to take
matters into his own hands he meets with Jacqui. Instead of finding answers, he finds
himself drawn into her world.
When Jacqui and Kyle work on their plans for the luxury cottages on Egret Island,
they do not intend to submit them. Once they begin work on the project, the dividing
lines between the Belpres and Wardens blur.
Ms. Bierce uses a well-researched background to hang an enjoyable story of love and
the obstacles -real and imaginary- that can come between two people as they fall in love.
Building Passion is a warm, sweet story of falling in love for the first time. |
