Christmas Quilt Anthology
by Barbara Baldwin
As the title implies, the stories in this Christmas anthology center around quilting - not just the actual art
itself, but the fact that lives meet and those meetings form patches and threads in life.
The stories are heartwarming without being overly sentimental, calling to mind the true spirit of Christmas,
and the warmth to be found in sharing with families of the heart. It would be difficult to choose just one story
as a favorite, although "Once Upon a Christmas Wish" might have my vote. The tale of "Santa and the Lumberjacks"
is rather amusing, done in tall-tale fashion. "The Hungry Christmas Guest" will leave a smile on your face, as each
of the stories will.
Christmas Quilt Anthology is a collection of charming short stories, poems and letters. Many of the
offerings have a very personal feel, which is appropriate since most of the collection started as Christmas
greetings to Ms. Baldwin’s family and friends. "The Christmas Quilt," the introductory story that lends its name
to the anthology, will wrap you in warmth. |
