Good Girls Do
by Cathie Linz
Good Girls Do is a fun and entertaining story. The characters, both main and secondary,
hooked me by the third chapter and I could not wait to read more. The straight-laced librarian,
Julia Wright's crazy family is moving in with her and disrupts her peaceful balance. She
is easy to relate to with her secret hankering for breakfast pastries and "note to self"
side comments. The bad boy, Luke Maquire, is back in town. He makes this romance a little
fun and a whole lot of sexy. He comes to town to fulfill an obligation in his recently
deceased father's will, and soon he is befriending the comic book store owner and a roller
blading insomniac and unintentionally creating a little havoc for the town and for Julia.
The interactions between Julia and Luke, and the rest of the people of Serenity Falls,
could not have been written any better. Cathie Linz has an awesome way of telling a story.
She is creative with her characters and she describes in wonderful detail the beautiful
setting in which this book takes place. While reading, I really felt like I was a fly on
the wall. Good Girls Do was a fast read that I couldn't put down. The book makes
for a perfect weekend read. I can't wait to see what Cathie Linz comes out with next, her
writing style is addictive. |
