Home By Starlight
by Jerri Corgiat
Patsy Lee O’Malley has taken care of her children since the death of her husband eight years before. However, when
she slips and falls and she breaks her ankle, the O’Malleys rally around to find a solution for helping Patsy once
again. This time they must find someone to help her care for the children and the farm. Who better, than Lil’s
husband Jon’s friend Zeke Townley, who just happens to be in town. To Patsy’s amazement however, it seems there is
a little matchmaking going on and she resents the fact that he is in her home.
Zeke has felt like he just exists ever since the band split. Now that he has something to look forward to in
helping Patsy, he feels he is doing something of value, even though the woman resents his help. However, he soon
learns there are other problems going on in the family and he is determined to help. Especially since he has fallen
in love with Patsy and her kids. But bringing Patsy around to realize that their love can survive all her family secrets
is another matter.
Home by Starlight is a magnificent read, which will have you totally engrossed from cover to cover. While Patsy
and Zeke are falling in love, the children are coming to terms with their own selves, including Patsy’s son who doesn’t
fit in their small town. For a fascinating story not to be missed, this reviewer recommends Home By Starlight to
any reader searching for a good summer time read. |
