Hot Night
by Shannon McKenna
Museum procurer Abby Maitland has a job she loves but she would love to have something other than work in her life.
Her batting average with men has hit an all time low so when a co-worker sets her up on a date, she goes - much to
her sorrow. Why can’t a man take no for an answer? To make it worse, Abby is locked out of her house, and her
date-turned-octopus develops a mean streak.
Ex-bad boy, now locksmith and computer geek, Zan is reluctant to take a late night call but he can’t resist a
woman in distress, especially when she sounds so sexy and desperate. When he arrives on the scene he finds himself
involved in more than a locked door - his newest client is being assaulted. Once he puts her date, a.k.a. worm,
on the road, he finds himself attracted to the independent but slightly shaken woman.
Abby and Zan’s new relationship embroils them in a mess of trouble. Abby’s best friend is murdered and it
looks as if the hit man might be involving Abby in his plans. Add in a shipment of gold, hot sex, a hero that
makes you want one of your own, and you have the a great suspenseful romance. Kudos to McKenna for giving us a
hero and heroine who are willing to risk murder and mayhem in their quest for love. |
