Love in the Fast Lane
by Jenna McKnight
Love in the Fast Lane is a fun, sexy story with a ghost. Maggie Cooper’s dad, Coop, died years ago in a race
car accident, but his ghost has harassed too many people to name, who had acquired his possessions over the years
since his passing. His latest victim is Scott Templeton, who acquired his Hemi engine. But after a bad race car
accident, leaving Scott with some broken bones and no friends because they thought he was losing his mind talking
about ghosts, Scott takes the engine to Maggie’s Grandmother’s home as per Coop’s request.
Once at the home of Granny, Scott is persuaded to stay (well, you could say forced since Coop makes it so his
truck won’t run) and Maggie has to stay with Granny until Scott is gone. She knows of him but doesn’t trust him.
Coop wants the engine to be placed in the original car and it seems simple enough, but there are two huge barns on
the property and both are filled with junk and collectibles Coop bought over the years. It takes time to go through
it all, and they aren’t even sure if the car is there, and before the car is found, Scott and Maggie fall in love.
But will a ghost, a deadline, a boyfriend, and a race get in the way? The story unfolds and you find out all the
answers.
Love in the Fast Lane was so fun to read. Jenna McKnight is right on in her writing and I have loved
everything by her I’ve read. Her style is smart and sassy, a lot like her characters. I am looking forward to
future releases from this author. |
