Make Me a Match
by Diana Holquist
Make Me a Match introduces readers to Cecelia Burns, a woman who has decided to be committed to a man even
after her sister insists that someone else is Cecelia’s One True Love. Cecelia has known about her sister, Amy’s,
secret talent in touching someone and coming up with a name that has been proven to be their One True Love. After
Amy swears that Cecelia’s One True Love is dying, Cecelia, being a doctor, feels compelled to find this Finn Concord
and let him know. What does the doctor find when she meets Finn face to face?
Diana Holquist has done a fantastic job in creating Cecelia, her sister Amy, and Finn’s character. They are
believable. They are fun. The romance between Cecelia, her fiancé, and Finn is fitting to people in similar situations.
The romance is not rushed and is slow in order for it to be acceptable to Amy’s biggest critic, Cecelia. Some of
the supporting characters were not the best. This reader would think that if someone came up and explained Amy’s
talent, there would be some skepticism. But with that being said, Make Me a Match is a great romance to
read. |
