Match Game
by Beverly Brandt
Funny, sweet and clever are three words to describe Beverly Brandt's book, Match Game. Those three
ingredients are the perfect mix for a quick and enjoyable read. The characters are great. Main characters Savannah
Taylor and Mike Bryson are real and amazingly not cliché. Savannah is accused of tax evasion and money laundering
(at her wedding of all places) and, after proving that she is not who the feds are looking for... she gets jilted,
moves and tries to start a new life in the place where the very person who has stolen her identity is enjoying life.
Why not find out how this lady is living, right?
This all leads to a lot of adventures for her and Mike. Her experiences outside of the tax processing career that
she is used to doing are hilarious. The poor lady has to dress up as a fish for one job and deal with despicable
customers at the shoe store. I think anyone who has ever worked in retail will be able to relate to her, in one way
or another. The ending was perfect (after an almost scary incident) and life does indeed improve for her.
Be sure to check this one out, it's a funny page-turner. |
