Pink Jinx
by Sandra Hill
What could be better than treasure hunting and romance? I read Pink Jinx in a day; it is just one of those
find-a-cozy-chair-and-don’t-plan-on-moving-until-you-are-done kinds of books. The book is filled with rich
characters, all of them creative, and when they are pieced together, they make this story zoom.
Ronnie Jinkowsky and her four time ex-husband, Jake Jensen, are tricked into helping Ronnie’s grandfather,
Frank. Frank wants to retire and wants Ronnie and Jake to make amends and run the treasure hunting business,
Jinx Inc., together so he can leave on an around the world cruise with his longtime girlfriend, Flossie. But Frank
is not honest and he makes it seem like if Ronnie doesn’t help his business it will officially go under unless she
helps out with the newest adventure to find some pink diamonds with a dark past in the middle of the ocean, not her
favorite place.
The story unfolds quickly. The characters keep you interested. And the love between Jake and Ronnie is unending
(if stalled, because of their past), making this one of the best books I have read lately. I really loved this
story and I am looking forward to more books from Sandra Hill. Her writing is witty and charming, just perfect for
contemporary romance readers who like a little adventure. |
