The Fyne Curse
It is said a three hundred year old curse was placed against the Fyne Witches.
An evil wizard vowed to deny them the pleasure love brings. The curse was
cast to deny them true and lasting love from their lovers and husbands. For
on their mate's thirtieth birthday they would meet with their death and if
they tried to outwit the curse by choosing someone older and wiser, he too
would look upon them with revulsion and horror.
Isadora is the eldest of the Fyne sisters. She feels helplessness descend upon her
when the curse strikes a lethal blow to her beloved husband Willym. With Will's death
a great sadness takes hold of her once carefree existence. She vows to use whatever means
she has to rid her family of the evil surrounding them. She is even willing to sacrifice
her own life for that of the greater good, for without love her life is meaningless.
Since childhood Lucan Hern's life revolved around being taught by a wizard of the way
of the warrior. The years of interwoven training prepared him for the time he would fulfill
his true destiny of becoming the Prince of Swords. In order to live out his true destiny
he must first find the elusive Star of Bacwyr. His search for the missing Star leads him
to Isadora; he finds her to be an enchanting widow who takes his breath away. He believes
she holds a connection to the Star. Her beauty bewitches him enough to want her for his
very own. His true warrior nature will be put to the test when he learns of the evil
surrounding her. Will he be strong enough to take a chance on love --when death could
be the ultimate consequence?
The Star Witch is by far the most memorable paranormal romance I have read in
a long time. The characters are so expertly created you feel as if they actually exist.
This is the third in a highly popular trilogy, but can be read as a stand alone. Linda
Winstead Jones, stand up and take a bow! You have written one outstanding and memorable
series. This highly addictive series deserves a perfect '10'. Very highly recommended.
