After the Kiss
The Notorious Gentlemen Series
by Suzanne Enoch
Rich and pampered, Lady Isabel Chalsey spends her time batting her eyes at would-be suitors and filling in her dance
card at stylish parties. Surrounded by others in the aristocracy, she has never given much thought to the
"commoners" who live and work around her. That all changes when a masked late-night intruder steals some of her
family’s artwork. And steals a kiss from Isabel.
Though she rips off his mask during the kiss, his identity is still unknown until they meet soon afterward when
her brother purchases a horse from him. Sullivan Waring is a highly respected horse trainer by day and the dreaded
midnight marauder at night, stealing back paintings that his dead mother had left for him as an inheritance, but which
were taken by the unscrupulous Lord Dunston, who sired Sullivan out of wedlock. Add Sullivan’s jealous half-brother
Oliver into the mix and there’s an intriguing story and love triangle that take place simultaneously.
Enoch writes a passionate romance in which casual flirting turns into sexual tension, which turns into eventual
seduction, and then ultimately into love. The story is engaging and the characters are well-developed. After the
Kiss contains the perfect blend of story and romance; you’ll breeze through the 357 pages and be ready for the
next "Notorious Gentleman" in the series. |
