Bedtime For Bonsai

by Elaine Fox

Bedtime For Bonsai is the latest by Elaine Fox, with recurring characters from her previous books and  introducing "Bonsai" the newest unruly puppy character.  Bedtime For Bonsai is a well written, fast paced, entertaining book.  I truly enjoyed reading this latest book by Elaine Fox and look forward to her next release.  Elaine Fox fans will not be disappointed in Bedtime For Bonsai!  It is a fun and enjoyable contemporary romance.

Penelope Porter, owner of "Pen Perfect" on Caroline Street, is contemplating getting back together with her ex-husband, Glenn Owens.  The thing Penelope wanted most in life was a baby.  Her ex-husband, Glenn, didn't want children and this caused much of the marital problems the couple faced—well that and the fact that he's a major jerk.

Moving to town for a new life, a fresh start, Dylan Mersey opens a shop directly across from Penelope's.  Dylan is working on overcoming a dark past and his ex-con status and he has no intention of falling for the princess across the street.  But Penelope's new puppy, Bonsai, keeps mysteriously escaping from her shop and ending up in Dylan's, thereby bringing them together and allowing the chemistry between them to grow stronger and stronger.

Dylan tries desperately to keep Penelope at arm's length while also trying desperately to shuck his old life and his long ago associates who are still on the wrong side of the law.  But Penelope finds herself running headlong into danger.
