Beginner’s Greek
by James Collins
Narrated by Jerry O'Connell
I was attracted to this book because of the love at first sight, or bite, as they say. I believe that you can
look across the room, meet someone’s eyes, and know that he or she is your connection for the duration of your
life. This is an integral part of romance, and I love it. This book didn’t disappoint as the two main characters,
Peter Russell and Holly, fight the obstacles in their path to find true love after they meet on a flight from
New York City to Los Angeles. Through a twist of the worst kind Peter loses Holly’s number, and his life takes
some dramatic turns.
Peter and Holly try to move on with others, but are still craving that love at first sight experience. There’s
a surprising twist that brings Peter closer to Holly and it’s very maddening for Peter. The novel takes us to a
place where we believe that, if love is meant to be, then a tornado, hurricane, or earthquake won’t stop the
romance. There may be negative forces, along the way that cause conflicts, but...
This novel is fun and James Collins gave me faith to believe that love can survive the tests. Meeting someone
across the room and knowing that person is your soul mate - what a wonderful feeling! Nice work for a new author. |
