Four Wives
by Wendy Walker
Four Wives, by Wendy Walker, was written in a very unique way, kind of like four stories rolled into one book. I
myself do not like this way of writing, as it's hard to keep up with all that is going on, but I found the book
well-written and interesting.
What do Love Welsh, Marie Passeti, Gayle Beck, and Janie Kirk all have in common? Well as you can see from the
title of the book, they are all wives. Their differences? Some are happy, some are not. I won’t go into each one,
as that would give away the story, so you will have to pick up the book and buy it for yourself. But what I can
tell you is this: Four Wives will make you think - does my neighbor like her life, marriage and children,
what does she think of me, and do I even care?
It’s a well-written book. Some of the spots are a bit slow and drawn out, but Wendy wants you to feel what
these gals are feeling and understand what they are going through, so I guess it’s needed. While I will not say
it’s my favorite book, it is a good book and for some light reading, might be something you would enjoy! |
