Freefall
A High Risk novel, Book # 1

by JoAnn Ross

Ex-Navy Seal Zach Tremayne returned to the small town of Swann Island in South Carolina to try to forget the horrors of the Afghanistan / Iraq wars. He decided to retreat to the tranquility of the town by working with his father's construction business.

Sabrina Swann has returned to Swann Island to recover from a terrorist bomb attack on the hotel in Florence, Italy she was managing. She, too, is seeking the tranquility of the town.

Although Sabrina had had a crush on Zach in her school years, the two haven't seen each other for more than ten years. They meet again when Zach comes to her grandmother's home, Swannsea, to make some repairs. The attraction from their youth is rekindled, but is overshadowed by a serial killer who stalks the community, torturing and murdering women. With the killer closing in on Sabrina, it is up to Zach and Sabrina to find him before it is too late.

The story is packed with emotion, passion and drama. The story portrays the intricacies of small town life with the dangerous currents under the tranquil surface. The action is constant. The intrigue with the realtor trying to take over Swannsea is involved.

A very enjoyable, fast moving story guaranteed to help readers pass a few pleasant hours.
