Hello, Doggy!

by Elaine Fox

Keenan James is a television personality who pretends to be a psychologist and runs the "Just-Dump-Him Round Table", a get mental health quick program for women.

Tory Hoffstra is a psychologist and has written a book on psychology.  Mr. Fender, the editor, doesn't feel Tory's book would be profitable, but does feel she has the necessary credentials to co-write Kennan's book instead.

Tory is not a fan of pop psychology but agrees to sit in on Keenan's round table anonymously to observe both how Keenan James is doing and how it is affecting the women he is treating.

Meanwhile, Kennan - along with his dog, Barbara Streisand - moves into the apartment building where Stewart, with whom Tory had just ended an eight year relationship, lives. Tory had ended the relationship due to lack of passion, but still considers Stewart her best friend.

Tory wants to make a name for herself but not on the coattails of a celebrity chick magnet.  She's also not a woman easily taken in by eye candy.  But there is no denying that Keenan James is charming.

After being fired from her job as a therapist, Tory agrees to co-write Keenan's book.  She needs to spend time with Keenan and his dog, Barbra Streisand.  She's terrified of dogs but Keenan's dog soon wins over her heart.  Seems the dog's owner has won over her heart as well.

I enjoyed reading Hello, Doggy! and hated to see it end.  The characters are so true to life, I felt I personally knew each one of them and they are a delightful bunch.  I enjoyed hearing Doug and Brady mentioned from Elaine Fox's previous book Beware of Doug.  I so look forward to reading her future novels.  Dogs and romance, what more could a gal want.
