Mrs. Perfect

by Jane Porter

Mrs. Perfect by Jane Porter. As with her other books, this one ROCKS!

What can I say, I love the way Jane tells a story, and I love the way the book unfolds in front of you. This book is one of her best, and I will gladly place it on my top ten to read books list!

Taylor Young grew up in a dysfunctional family of divorce and betrayal, but haven't a lot of us? The difference between her and us is that she doesn't like herself very much, and that hinders her into adulthood.

Taylor has it all: a successful husband, who, I might add, is gorgeous, three beautiful little girls who are like Stepford children following in mom's footsteps, and that beautiful house that Taylor designed and decorated. So what is she missing? Well in her case it seems the finances to keep on living the way she does!

Nathan, her husband, quits his job, doesn't tell her, and they all keep living the lavish lifestyle they are used to... until it’s all gone, including both the money and the financial security. Seven months later, Nathan tells Taylor they have no money. They are in debt for more than most of us will make in a lifetime, and he has taken a job in another state.

I could go on and on, but I won't, as that would ruin the book for the rest of you. All that I can say about this book is the following: We all live above our means; some of us learn early, some of us learn too late, but we all learn something. Read this book and you will discover the meaning of life as you know it, the life that you are meant to have and the life that means the most to you. In Taylor's case, that life is having her family all back together and living large! This is a great book and one that you will enjoy. Hey Jane, when is your next book coming out? I am here ready to read it!
