The Rogue Hunter
Argeneau Vampires, Book 10
by Lynsay Sands
Having been a fan of Ms. Sands' Argeneau Vampire Series from its conception, I had my doubts that a vamp outside the
family could generate as much sensuality, humor and romance as one of the Argeneau fanged personalities. Well, I
have to tell you, Ms. Sands excelled in this book. Garrett is such a hottie; and his personality, touched upon in
a previous book, makes you want to hug him and jump his bones at the same time. An awesome paranormal read. Thank
you Ms. Sands for continuing the family tradition.
Garrett Mortimer is sent to what he calls Cottage Country to find a rogue vampire. What he finds is trouble of
the female kind when the electricity goes out and he and his vamps-in-arms, Decker and Bricker, are introduced to
Samantha Willan and her sisters. His two buddies have no problem reading all three women, but Mortimer, as he is
called, can't read Samantha at all. He knows she is his life-mate, but he wonders if she is the right woman for
him. The woman stumbles around like she's drunk all the time, but the vulnerability he sees in her eyes sends a
stake right through his heart.
Samantha is taking some well-deserved time off from her job as an attorney. She's looking forward to spending
time with her sisters and catching up, but one look at her handsome and sexier-than-sin neighbor has her wondering
if there's more to life than work. When he talks to her in that sensual tone that sends her knees into noodle
status, she forgets all about some of the strange things going on next door. Before she can figure out if Mortimer
is too good to be true, she has to track down the missing daughter of one of her firm's clients. When her hunky
hottie lends a hand, she soon discovers there's more to the night than sleeping. Samantha puts herself in
Mortimer's hands and delivers her heart to the one man or vampire who makes her long to be his forever. |
