The Shadows of the Sea:
Las Sombras Del Mar
A MsAdventures at Sea Novel

by Christine L. McKellar

Shadows of the Sea is a well-written, entertaining novel of suspense, romance, and the sailing of the tumultuous seas.  With its cast of captivating characters, Shadows of the Sea will grab your attention from bow to stern.  A truly enjoyable book to read.

Quinn Anne Carrigan is hired as a cook on the Vanora, a seventy-six foot luxury yacht.  The owner, Rafael Santiago, has hired four crew members to deliver his new yacht to him in Mexico.

Diego Reyes is the caption who will be guiding the yacht across the Gulf and through the Panama Canal into Mexico.  He is an attractive man...in a freaky sort of way.  Quinn has never seen eyes so dark and full of dangerous emotion.

When Quinn meets Rafael Santiago, she finds him handsome and sophisticated, albeit controlling, and she feels a heat inside of her that she had only experienced with one other man, Noah, who still haunts her dreams.

Hurricane Cecelia is about to make meteorological history and is heading right towards the Vanora.  The yacht is hijacked by smugglers who leave the crew afloat - literally.  Quinn is struggling with conflicting emotions  regarding Noah and Rafael.  Not to mention the crew’s lives being in danger from the smugglers, who would like to see them eliminated.  Quinn decides she needs to start charting courses of her own design instead of just drifting where the waves take her.
