Tall, Dark and Kilted: mortal and immortal get wicked.. Suspend your disbelief and enjoy.
Sir Hardwick de Studley was cursed for turning away a wandering bard. After 700 years of satisfying women with
no satisfaction of his own, Hardwick strikes a deal with The Dark One. Hardwick's only desire is peace. When an
agreement is struck, Hardwick knows just where he wants to spend his trial time of one year and a day.
Cilla travels all the way to Scotland to recover from a failing jewelry business and broken engagement. Her only
desire: solitude. Cilla's arrives at Dunroamin Castle to find it filled with ghosts and money problems. Her first
ghostly experience is frightening, but soon the haunting highlander's presence fills Cilla's head with decadent
daydreams and a hunger for corporeal contact.
Mackay (Welfonder) entertains with a creative plot, romantic surroundings, sexy characters, shameless love
scenes, and something her fans always enjoy, a happy ending. The castle residents will charm you and the bad guys
will give you the urge to say BOO, too. I found Tall, Dark and Kilted as entertaining as A Highlander in
Her Bed (also reviewed on Myshelf.com).
My only gripe: the amount of detailed references to the "condition" of Hardwick's personal anatomy. At some points,
I wanted to scream, "We get it!" All in all, it's a fun romance about Scotland, ghosts, lust, and finally, love.
Have fun with it.
