Tempted By the Night
The Marlowe Series, Book 2
by Elizabeth Boyle
Like other young debs of London, Lady Hermione Marlowe is infatuated with the Earl of Rockhurst. He's handsome,
dashing — not to mention, a rogue — and very, very rich. Hermione is so besotted, every time he comes
near she is ill. Unlike the other debs of London, Hermione discovers a ring, makes a wish, follows the Earl into the
night, and experiences a different kind of nightlife... And it's not at all what you're thinking.
The Earl of Rockhurst is moody about losing the woman he thought was meant for him. Unknown to London Society, he
carries a burden passed down from generation to generation. It's no wonder he avoids bluestockings with mothers in
tow. But in the case of Lady Hermoine you can't avoid what you can't see...
When I picked up Tempted by the Night, I knew nothing about the storyline or that it was the second in
the Marlowe (Wish) series. First in the series is
His Mistress
By Morning.
I opened the cover, read a paragraph, liked the writing style and read on. Lady Hermione's fascination with
Rockhurst and her curious predicament kept the pages turning. In fact, the further I got into this paranormal romp
the fewer interruptions I preferred. Tempted by the Night is supernaturally charged. Hermione and Rockhurst
are strong, entertaining characters. The secondary characters —the relatives— are amusing. Hermione,
Rockhurst and his trusty hound Rowan steal the show. Tempted by the Night is a MUST READ. |
