Wild Jinx
The Jinx series, book # 3

by Sandra Hill

Wild Jinx is a charming and cheerful contemporary romance. An interesting and lively cast of characters make this an enjoyable delight. Tante Lulu, with her quirky personality is a joy and if you've never been introduced to her before, you are in for a treat!

John LeDeux is a detective with the police department in Fontaine, a sister city to Baton Rouge. His aunt, Tante Lulu, is a bayou healer who wants John to give up his hanky panky ways and find himself a nice Cajun girl and settle down. Tante Lulu has what she believes to be a vision that John will indeed marry within the year. John chokes on his coffee at Tante Lulu's revelation since his plans vary drastically from his aunt’s vision.

Celine Arseneaux is an award winning journalist and the single mother of a five-year old son, Etienne. It's while she's on assignment at the "Playpen" that she crosses paths with John LeDeux, who is the last person she expects to encounter at the "Playpen". John is working undercover to bring down the Southern Mafia, who runs the club.

Celine and John have not seen each other since that one night stand they shared back in college, the result of which was Etienne. This is a huge secret that Celine has kept hidden from John all these years.

Tante Lulu hires Jinx Inc, a treasure hunting company, to come to the Bayou to search for pirate treasure. John, who is in hiding while waiting for members of the Southern Mafia to be brought to trial, is participating in the Jinx treasure hunt. When Celine is assigned to the treasure hunt by the New Orleans Times-Tribune she and John are forced to spend the next few weeks joined at the hip, so to speak.

If the Jinx team recovers any of the Lafitte treasure it will make history; it will also make Tante Lulu a very wealthy woman. But the greatest treasure of all is the thunderbolt announcing the arrival of your soul-mate...
